It's the weekend...

Woke up late...

Lazy day...

I took a leisurely walk in the middle of fallen leaves.

Wearing a casual black and white outfit with the simple white clutch.

This is my new Origami Clutch creation "Simple White".

Just take basic H&M snickers and add my shoe's accessory "Fringe" to get an original fashion style.

You can now find my creations in a shop in Bordeaux! (more info in the next post)

and the e-shop is coming soon!

My favorite concept store in Bordeaux, Magasin Général ("general store" in french)!

The decoration here is a nice mix of wood and steel, an industrial style which made me feel like I was in San francisco or New york!

A bistrot, a coffe shop, a grocer's shop, a drugstore... Everything here is organic and local, and I loved the brunch they serve in the bistrot every sunday.

Pancakes, french toasts, cold dishes etc... it was so yummy!!!

There is also a play space for kids!

The grocer's shop only sells organic products:  fresh vegetables, breads, cheeses etc...!

I went to "Les Sources de Caudalie" near my hometown Bordeaux last week-end. It's one of my favorite spiritual spots, surrounded by vineyards!!!

Caudalie is a Five-star Hotel & Spa located on the grounds of the winery "Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte".

Caudalie's Spa is amazing! I felt free from the time... with the sweet smell of grape...

This Spa features a special treatment called " Vino Therapy " using natural hot spring water and special grape essence.

I chose the menu "scrub, pack and massage".

Scrub using the seeds of grapes , pack using the local honey and wine yeast , a whirlpool bath in a wine barrel, and finally a massage using a special oil containing polyphenol.

Photos from Caudalie (It goes without saying haha, I couldn't take pictures inside! )

Time to eat after SPA!

The hotel has two restaurants, "La Grand'Vigne"  who won 1 star in the Michelin Guide, and "La Table du Lavoir" where I went. This restaurant is in a renovated laundry hut!

And then, for digest, Promenade in the vineyards!!!!!

Wearing my new Fringe Sandals, my new Origami Clutch in hand♪ ( made by me of course! )

Beside working as a make-up artist, I also make leather goods such as bags, wallets, accessories etc...

I studied many things: I was in a make-up school, a fashion design school and I have a master of philosophy... People tell me "You can gain knowledge and be good in different fields but can be specialist in only one"...

 Hummm I disagree!

You can master everything you want if you give all your heart and energy in it!

Please look at this clutch bag that I made in 15mins!

What do you think?

I came back to France for a few weeks. It’s kind of chilly here...

And Japan is coming soon...!

A cozy town Williamsburg in Brooklyn

All cramped shops, tasteful street arts and skateboarders imbue its streets with a sense of welcomed familiarity…!

I found an amazing bar in the heart of Williamsburg!

If you like tiki-inspired foods & drinks and Californian beach environment, this spot is just for you!

Coconut Mojito and Surf Bar Fries with honey and sea salt

The whole floor of the restaurant is covered in sand and the ceilings are covered with surfboards!

« Surf Bar »  will make you forget about being in the city.

It will be a perfectly fine little escape!

Nami's Universe by Nami Okubo is a personal blog about fashion, beauty, art and travel.

Nami is a make-up artist and writer born and raised in Japan, and now living in France between Paris and Bordeaux, who has always been fascinated by fashion.

After travelling the world (US, Canada,UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, France, Monaco, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Czech, China, Korea, Singapore, UAE, Australia, NZ, Fiji etc...), she returned to Japan, to finish her master's degree of philosophy in Kyushu University.

During her master's 2nd year she went back to Bordeaux as an exchange student where she fell in love with the world of french art, fashion and of course make-up as well!!!

Nami got off to a good start for her life? Hummm... So far, so good?!

Well, her motto is ”take action when coming up with something"

so she left for France definitively to begin her career in make-up through lots of luck and good encounters.

After working as a make-up artist and hairstylist for operas including the opéra national de bordeaux (opera and ballet) and in fashion (editorials and shows), she became more and more attracted to the world of Fashion...

And that's where Nami's Universe starts!
